Jerry Billett Joins Forces with The MLM Superheroes in ViSalus

(PRWEB) April 25, 2012

Jerry Billett is a 22 year old entrepreneur who has overcome many adversities in his short life. Some of them are quite shocking, and some are inspirational that will inspire others to become better people like he has become.

Billett was born in 1989 in Kingston, Jamaica. He lived his first few years seeing pain and suffering. From violence – to a broken home – these circumstances drove him to have a “family- based” relationship with criminals very early in life.

“I came to the United States when I was a young boy” says Billett, “but used what I learned in Jamaica to get fast money. I was a gang member very early in life and continued on a dangerous downward spiral engaging in violent behavior – and befriending dangerous criminals. It wasn’t until I was shot in the head and found myself in jail that I began my journey of self discovery.”

Billett says that he came from a broken family, and in his eyes this is what a true family was. He was always a good student but he was living a double life behind his family’s back. Student by morning criminal by night – and it began catching up with him fast as a young adolescent.

He graduated high school and had no money for a chance at college, so he decided to join the U.S Army at 17. This is where he learned valuable skills which started to change his mindset about how his life was going.

Billett says that he was still far from the person needed to be successful. He was discharged after four years with little skills to pursue a career, so he decided to go to University of Massachusetts Lowell. He dropped out after one year and went back to what he knew his whole life – depression, pain, violence, and fast money.

Billett soon paid the price for his ways by getting shot in the head, and nearly dying on several occasions. He was also charged for a crime where his skin color was the only evidence against him and was wrongfully accused for a crime for he didn’t commit. He was finally discharged – but this event played a major role in Billett’s path to clean up his life.

Finally Billett said enough is enough and made the choice to change his mindset once, and for all. He decided to rewrite his future and at 21 years old he found Network Marketing. His first attempt at Network Marketing Billett gained new personal development skills, but due to lack of leadership in the company as a whole, and a out of date system he failed in his first few months.

He continued to focus on his personal development as well as the law of attraction and manifested amazing things into his life at only 22 years of age.

Billett is now apart of a revolutionary company that has, and is continuing to give amazing success stories. This company is Visalus Sciences. Billett has now attracted mentors with The MLM Superheroes that are helping him to reach his goals at record speed.

“I overcame so much in my life” says Billet, “and now I plan on helping other people with my message of inspiration. By teaching people the simplicity of hosting these fun Challenge Parties even people that were once struggling in MLM are finding amazing success.”

Billett says that for those people that are struggling in MLM and in life, they never have to stay there – and that it all starts with switching one’s thought process, and mastering one’s subconscious mind.

The MLM Superheroes are an elite group of network marketing trainers that travel the world helping to teach and train entrepreneurs on how to become successful in the MLM industry and the home based business model. They have become Independent promoters of the ViSalus Body By Vi – 90 Day Challenge.

Crayons Count Sets May Target for Raising Funds from Jamaican Diaspora

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) May 16, 2012

Do Good Jamaicas latest project, Crayons Count, the brainchild of Deika Morrison, focuses on placing learning kits in every early childhood learning center in Jamaica with the goal of helping to shape an entire generation.

In an effort to involve Jamaicans abroad in the fundraising and making it easy for them to support, Do Good Jamaica has tapped David Mullings, former USA Future Leaders Representative on the Jamaican Diaspora Advisory Board and a supporter of Do Good Jamaica since launch, to lead a fundraising effort during the month of May. Mr. Mullings has been made a Diaspora Ambassador and Do Good Jamaica will be using crowdfunding website IndieGoGo.com to try and raise US$ 25,000 in one month.

Every $ 15 donated provides access to learning kits for 5 children in Jamaica and I am confident that we can get individuals and organizations in the diaspora to support an islandwide education initiative such as this, said Deika Morrison, founder of Do Good Jamaica.

IndieGoGo was chosen because Mr. Mullings successfully raised money last year for a personal film project on his familys relationship with the Jamaican railroad.

This is a great opportunity to make the diaspora count. We are always talking about supporting education and health but few islandwide opportunities have presented themselves. Thanks to technology we can easily facilitate donations and transparency in how the money is spent said David Mullings.

Donations can be made at http://www.indiegogo.com/crayonscount

In Tough Economic Times, Financial Infidelity Gene can be Detrimental, Cautions Dr. Bonnie

(PRWEB) February 18, 2012

A study from the University of Washington (http://cbsloc.al/xVFNDD) reveals that spending habits are genetic. The study followed 15,000 sets of twins since the early 1950′s and determined that people are either born to spend or save. Although some doctors grant that the type of upbringing plays a role, the study says that genetics is the largest factor in why a person decides to save or spend. Dr. Bonnie Eaker Weil, author of Financial Infidelity: Making Money Sexy, has long been studying and treating the outgrowth of this phenomena which can manifest itself as Financial Infidelity.

“Any type of infidelity – including financial – stems from a biochemical craving for connection,” explains Dr. Bonnie. “This is when people experience painful stress, loss, and/or separation and self-medicate in order to achieve a ‘high’ that leads to a momentary escape.” This can be done with drugs, sex, alcohol – and even money. Just like a propensity toward alcoholism can be passed down from generation to generation, so Dr. Bonnie also believes that financial infidelity has genetic roots as well.

“Financial infidelity happens when people in a relationship aren’t honest about their money habits,” says Dr. Bonnie, “this can occur on a relatively small scale – like taking extra money out of the ATM; or on a larger scale – like buying a car without consulting the other person.” Knowing that spending habits are at least partly genetic, and are set by the time people reach their 40′s, means that a propensity toward Financial Infidelity can be hard to overcome.

Money and sex are similar, so financial infidelity and sexual infidelity go hand-in-hand. Dr. Bonnie, whose book Adultery the Forgivable sin deals with the way infidelity manifests itself, knows this is a tough issue to crack, even in a sluggish economy. “For people who are predisposed to spend, it doesn’t matter that the economy is bad, or that they might be struggling financially. This type of behavior is typical with addiction – but most over-spenders don’t realize they should be treating their financial propensities like an addiction.”

When dealing with someone predisposed toward Financial Infidelity, especially in tough economic times, it’s crucial for a committed couple to be on the same page financially, advises Dr. Bonnie. For example: Even if in the past one person was responsible for the bills (or all of the financial duties) and the other didn’t pay too much attention, now is the time to get both people involved.

A genetic predisposition to spend isn’t an excuse for bad habits but rather an explanation for why some people struggle more with this behavior than others. It also provides a wake-up call for the importance of properly dealing with this struggle.
